Musician·Vocalist·Bass Guitarist·Music Educator

Jordan Tupper, Baton Rouge musician and bass guitarist

Jordan J. Tupper is a Baton Rouge-based musician with nearly two decades of experience performing, teaching, and leading in music. A vocalist and bass guitarist, he currently performs with three groups spanning classic rock, contemporary covers, and jazz — Night Hog, Cover 6 Band, and Jim Standley Jazz.

Recognized as a 2024 Grammy Music Educator Award Quarterfinalist by the Recording Academy, Jordan brings both national recognition and deep local roots to his work. Before stepping fully into the gig life, he spent years in the classroom as a band director and music educator — lessons that still show up on stage, in the pocket with Night Hog, the dance-floor sets with Cover 6, and the standards with Jim Standley Jazz.

Off stage, Jordan is building Thinksday, a weekly essay archive, and serves his community as a deacon at First Presbyterian Church of Baton Rouge.
